... back and bike dilemma

I know I've not been blogging for a long time. Been ... going through a bit of stuff.

1. To become single officially.
- signed my separation letter
- can file for divorce on 1st Oct 2011.
Sigh ... I'll be 30 by then.

2. Class 2B - spent $400 so far and still only on lesson 3 (there are in all 8 lessons)
- lesson 1 (3 sessions), lesson 2 (4 sessions), lesson 3 (1 session so far and going for the 2nd one today)
- the sun's a bitch. I had gotten a semi permanent tan on my arms like as if I went roller blading.
- riding's fun

I'm still deciding between getting a brand new bike or a 2nd hand one.

Cause for a new rider I might be knocking my bike up quite a bit and confirm will heart pain if new bike kenna scratch. So advisable to get 2nd hand. 2nd hand bikes also more seasoned unless I suay suay kenna one problematic bike which the previous owner has withheld information about. That's my primary worry.

New bike will be more shiok cause soooo shiny. HAHA and I can truly call it mine. Like a virgin bike that's MINE. HAHA.

Sooooooo ... 2nd problem is the choice between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke. Sigh. My first choice for a bike is a 2 stroke (Kawasaki Kips) but people have been telling me 2 stroke bikes are more ex to maintain in the long run and in frequency is a lot higher (like once a month).

Current choices :

Number 1

Kawasaki KR150 (Kips)
2 stroke Sport Bike 150cc

Number 2

Honda CBR125R
4 stroke Sport Bike 125cc

Number 3

Honda CBR150R
4 stroke Sport Bike 150cc
Still trying to figure out the pros and cons for the CBR125 and CBR150. Besides one having a much fiercer look. Need to seek friends advices on this.

Number 4

Honda CBF150
4 stroke Sport Bike 150cc
I'll get this one if I'm getting a 2nd hand. Duno. It just seems ... safer HAHA.

Daelim Roadwin
4 stroke Street Bike 150cc $7200
I threw this one in cause the look is somewhat similar to what I'm looking for. But it's a Daelim. Not really sure about the brand cuz I never noticed any Daelims on the roads.

9,999 Paper Cranes

I was just surfing around Stomp.com and saw this ... Link from Stomp It's at the Botanic Gardens. From the article it says it's at the Visitor's Centre near Holland Road. I think I shall go to the Botanic Gardens next week. Whole week no work. So I guess I can take a nice break. I wonder if they have wireless there. Bring my new laptop, a little snack and a book to read. Sigh. It better not rain.

Durex and Photoshop

A weekend ... another night at DblO. Some more dancing some more boozing. Even some pre-boozing.

(I didn't know I look THAT MAKEUP LESS. Hrmmm ... time to up the colours and eyeliner.)

Then on Monday ... reality check. Bleah ... reality was already checking in from when I woke up this ... afternoon. Can't believe I slept for 12 hours straight.

But got online and the internet lo and behold gave me something to smile about again.

Durex has come out with the most adorable yet so NSFV ad yet.

The Balloon Durex Ad

And omg ... they even did little NGs for the ad and they are just as hilarious!!! MUST WATCH!!

NG #2

NG #3

A little side note :

Found this little idea of photoshopping really cool. (From this website ... Wooster Collective) The artist who did this must be out with the message "Everything's photoshopped, so stop looking for perfection."

I am 28

6th Jan 08

Met the girls for dinner. Too bad Va is missing.
Dear Michelle just got off her flight and was suffering from jet lag. But she still came.
ATe Ministry of Food at Bugis Junction. Haha we also ate there for my birthday last year. But nvm ... I love the food there.

Something that I wish I could eat everyday.

One of my FAVE desserts.

Michelle brought a few presents for us too. Er ... CK undies for most of us and a CUTE WALL-E for Yan!!!!

Cam-whoring time with Wall-E!!!

My newly designated Milo cup for my morning cuppa Mon - Fri.

*slips in a little chick*

7th Jan 08 Started off as usual. Work work work. Hehe.

Ken gave me a char siew pau and was the first to wish me. Initially I just wanted to be quiet about it. Didn't want to make a big hoo ha ... Guess I was quite busy cause I never expected what came next.

Was about to ask Gene about a doc that he told me to prepare for him then Sharon my team leader pulled me aside to ask if I knew anyone who do giant sofas. It felt weird cuz ... I'm one of the last people who would know such things.

But ... lo and behold. Someone from behind started singing birthday song. Turned around a cute birthday cake with ... wah liew so many candles. So paiseh loh. Almost cried.

Then the present. I couldn't ask for anything better. A complete carebear set!!! Ya I'm still a sucker for soft toys. Initially I felt the big bag ... was like "So big how to display on my table?!" Then open up and saw SOOO MANY!!!!!!!

To my darling colleagues. Thank you. I'll work harder for you all.

*knocks own head cuz I know that I cock up some stuff for them sometimes*

Useless things that we might still buy

Here's a few VERY GOOD examples of the sort of toys there are (esp from Japan) which really don't do much BUT people still buy them. (including me)

The PuchiPuchu Infinite Bubble Wrap toy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0UU20R4O34o It gets it's name from the sound it makes when you pop it. Of course IN JAPANESE lah. Cannot imagine when you pop a bubble wrap it goes PUCHI! Its really ... useless ... but after seeing the videos ... I have a tiny urge to ... buy one.

Soybean Pod Keychain http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RITA14kERWM The description should be green bean lah ... but never mind. It's even more pointless than the bubble wrap. Some of the beans even have faces but you won't be able to choose from the packaging. I guess some people feel delighted when popping out those little green beans out of the pods. Not for me.

Face Bank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rpHRQ4to5g&NR=1 This is like the scariest looking bank I've EVER seen. Just look how troll like it looks and the way it gobbles your coin. *shivers*

USB Humping Dog http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUC4Xeus36E&NR=1 I WANT THIS!!! Okay here's another link that I just HAD to share. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t8QvfM0Z1Y

Big Bomb Piggy Bank http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TWLnWbXUgjY The problem with this one is ... well ... it SPITS OUT your coins not keep them. But it's darn cute!

Atari Arcarde Piggy Banks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6UCIRoJTII&feature=channel You want to play, you put in a coin. It saves you money and lets play too. Wheee. Not bad considering. Great for the Retro Gamer in you. Not me.

Singing, Flashing, Water Spurting Rubber Ducky http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTmU_tq--rA My gosh it's sooo cute. But too bad I don't have a tub.

USB Pole Dancer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyF92zjB1xY&NR=1 You don't have to give her any dollar bills. She won't do you any stripping nor squats but she go round the pole with noises of ... er ... ooh ooh and ah ah ... er. *sweatdrop* I think the guy who invented this, the prototype must have been using a Barbie.

Self Destruct Button Toy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VgSs4WTtnz0&feature=channel Want the sensation of a detonator button but without the mess of a C4? This is the one for you. Keke. I love it too. Will get it if I see it.

Aqua Drop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dtu8LpV19sA Another visual stimulator. Nice to look at ... but in the end ... it's just water being moved around a nicely shaped tank.

Dancing Flower http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFp53H__dO8&NR=1 You KNOW that you have gotten this or you know a friend who has gotten this or something similar. A plant. A electronically battery eating or solar power PLANT. Remember those leaves that do nothing but wiggle up and down. Another visual stimulant. A real plant is more relaxing and it helps create more oxygen!!! This is a nono for me.

Pekoppa Plant http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U12p1sX20Zw&feature=channel I know I just dished out on artificial toy plants earlier but this one might change my mind. It looks real and it responds (as in it wiggles and even does a some sort of nod) to your voice or sounds. Really interesting. Hrmmm.
